Stories held in light.

Anchored in devotion, A memory kept.

Tidal Hymn Films

I live in Hawai‘i, held by the same mountains that shaped my earliest sense of beauty.
I’m drawn to quiet light, intentional emotion, and the rare moments that register as memory in real time.
My work is a study in contrasts — ocean and altitude, motion and stillness, the intimate and the infinite.

Why Super 8?

In a world saturated with digital perfection, Super 8 reminds us that there is beauty in imperfection—wabi-sabi in motion. Each frame is a tiny painting—grainy, sun-kissed, and full of movement. It captures not just moments, but memory itself: the way light bends through a window, the way a shadow lingers across a mountain, the way laughter carries across a field.

Super 8 is alive. It’s tactile. It’s nostalgic. It slows time just enough for us to notice the small, quiet miracles: a horse in mid-gallop, the shimmer of waves on a sunlit shore, the curve of a smile we thought we’d forgotten.

Why do we choose Super 8? Because it’s human. Because it’s poetry in motion. Because every frame carries a story, a heartbeat, a hymn to the world around us.

Digital can show a scene. Super 8 makes you feel it. It’s about the texture of life, the light that doesn’t just illuminate—but lingers. We film in Super 8 because the stories we want to tell deserve to be seen not just with your eyes, but with your memory, your imagination, your heart.
